creative writing challenge

The stanza I chose is “with my cross I shot the albatross.”I chose this because it leaves you on a cliff hanger because you don’t know what’s going to happen next to the albatross It also describes what he used to kill the albatross and talking more about the cliff-hanger is you don’t know why he’s done it or why no one else would do that because the albatross is a spirit in the christian religion so not a lot of people would kill the albatross because it’s really religous to them and if you kill it you get cursed and bad luck will come upon you and  the ancient mariner is using the albatross against them  because he’s using the  albatross as a protection for any curses or bad luck that can happen to him or his crew he also did this because he knows the bad things he’s done in the journey or even in his life  and he knows that if you kill the albatross and wear it the  bad luck  on him might go away and he will be in the clear it so its kind of a gamble for his life and the crews but you never no what might happen, it also shows that the mariner is kind of smart but also kind of stupid because no  person I no of  would kill a albatross( if they no what a albatross is) but normal people wouldn’t kill a albatross for their own protection (and potentially their life)  so he’s kind of a bit of both parts that’s also another cliffhanger because you don’t know if the mariners bad luck with into good luck or if the mariner  stupidity is not and   he’s actually quite smart you also don’t no he could take it off because he was getting hot and then something might come and he won’t have enough time to go get the albatross show sorry albatros your end is high .

this is absolutely amazing if his class does points or anything like that he should get one

  2. Well done ,but you have used “because”many times in your writing ,you should check your ponctuation too.

  3. Hello,

I have to say that I echo your mum’s sentiments – you’ve shown some real development of your skills of analysis and you have begun to consider the structure of the poem and how events affect one another.

    Targets:
    1) Remember to use paragraphs
    2) Proof-read – have you used commas and full stoops in the correct places? Have you checked that your vocabulary helps to make your meaning clear? Have you varied your vocabulary? There is one point where it seems that you have forgotten to use full stops!

You can always re-draft this and make the appropriate changes. There’s even a badge for that!

    3) To move onto Figure It Out, you should identify a them and explore how this is developed across the piece. Here is the criteria:
